The active ingredient in mentogel is natural menthol. One of natures most effective natural pain relievers.Menthol helps to reduce pain by stimulating pain-receptor nerves in the skin that detect cold , causing the body to release natural pain-relieving substances called (k-opioids) Thus providing a temporay numbing effect to the area.
