COMPOSITION:
Nailfen 250 mg Tablets: Each tablet contains 281.28 mg Terbinafine hydrochloride which is equivalent to 250 mg Terbinafine base.
Nailfen 125 mg Tablets: Each tablet contains 140.64 mg Terbinafine hydrochloride which is equivalent to 125 mg Terbinafine base.
Nailfen Cream 1%: Each 1g cream contains 10 mg Terbinafine hydrochloride.
Nailfen Solution 1%: Each 1mL solution contains 10 mg Terbinafine hydrochloride
MECHANISM OF ACTION AND PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES:
Terbinafine hydrochloride is a synthetic allylamine derivative with an anti-fungal activity.
Nailfen exerts its anti-fungal effect by inhibiting squalene epoxidase, a key enzyme in ergosterol biosynthesis in fungi. This action results in deficiency in ergosterol and a corresponding accumulation of squalene within the fungal cell and causes fungal cell death.
Nailfen is fungicidal against dermatophytes, moulds and certain dimorphic fungi, and either fungicidal or fungistatic against yeasts, depending on the species.

DOSAGE / ADMINISTRATION
Nailfen Tablets:
Adults
< 20 kg: 62.5 mg ( ½ a 125 mg tablet once daily)
20 – 40 kg: 125 mg once daily
> 40 kg: 250 mg once daily
Topical Use:
Nailfen Cream & Solution:
Wash the affected area with soap and water and dry completely before applying Nailfen .
Nailfen 10% Solution : Store Between (8 – 25 ) °c.

Nailfen 125 : pack of 10 Tablets.
Nailfen 250 : pack of 10 or 28 or 30 Tablets .
Nailfen 1% Cream : 15 g in aluminum tube .
Nailfen 1% Solution : 30 ml solution in plastic bottle with dropper .
